Young Person Sponsors Charity

The donation was awarded from a bid made by an ex client of the charity who was housed and supported by the Basement Project's Private Tenancy Scheme.

Basement Breakfast Morning

Local MP, Sajid Javid came to the Basement Project to cook breakfast for young people on a Saturday.  The morning was very successful and everyone enjoyed it.  The day marked the re launch of Basement Saturday opening hours, follow us on Facebook to find out when we are opening.

Choir Sponsors The Basement Project 

A local choir raised and donated money for the basement project in the form of a Christmas concert.  The choir are continuing to raise money throughout the year.

Young Person Wins Prize

The Basement Project are constantly searching for inspiration.  As an experiment the team decided to post a message on Facebook to seek out ideas for activities and fundraising events.  A client responded with an excellent idea for a football team.  His quick response earned him a prize and he was delighted.  The football team is now being planned for the coming months.  If you would like a chance to win watch us on Facebook.

Project Delivers Hamish in Local Primary Schools

As part of raising awareness about homelessness the basement project have begun storytelling in local primary schools.  The session is fun and interactive telling a story about Hamish.  Hamish is a highland cow that ends up homeless.  His friends help him and the message is positive.  Please contact us if you want more information.
