Local MP,
Sajid Javid came to the Basement Project to cook breakfast for
young people on a Saturday. The morning was very
successful and everyone enjoyed it. The day marked the re
launch of Basement Saturday opening hours, follow us on Facebook

A local
choir raised and donated money for the basement project in the
form of a Christmas concert. The choir are continuing to
raise money throughout the year. |

are constantly searching for inspiration. As an experiment
the team decided to post a message on Facebook to seek out ideas
for activities and fundraising events. A client responded
with an excellent idea for a football team. His quick response
earned him a prize and he was delighted. The football team
is now being planned for the coming months. If you would

Project Delivers Hamish in Local
Primary Schools |

As part of
raising awareness about homelessness the basement project have
begun storytelling in local primary schools. The session
is fun and interactive telling a story about Hamish.
Hamish is a highland cow that ends up homeless. His
friends help him and the message is positive. Please
